It is fun to be able to use edible flowers like daylilies to make something beautiful and delicious, like this wonderful daylily jelly! 

The basic process for making  daylily jelly starts with picking the flowers.

Remove the petals and tear them into smaller pieces. Place them in large bowl or quart mason jar

Add boiling water to the petals, then add  lemon juice

Put the daylily tea in the refrigerator for 24 hours

The next day, strain the petals from the tea

Add pectin and sugar and bring to a boil

Process in a hot water bath
